My little girl is so precious. I was so frustrated that I didn't know how to make her stay in bed and I was sure she would have stayed out of bed so long that she would have fallen asleep on the floor and we would start some bad habits, but I was wrong. About 30 min after my last posting I look up and her light is out. She put herself back to bed! She turned off the light, put her fan back on and tucked herself in. I guess if I just wait she'll sleep when she is ready.
Although I think this means that naps are coming to an end...

Not so fast...
So, yesterday I posted that we had taken away Avery's pacifiers and that after 3 rough nights she seemed to be over it. Well, she sure showed me tonight. As you can see below she is in no mood to go to bed. Even now she has her light on and is playing with her dolls.
This is definitely one of those parent moments that isn't an easy fix. It doesn't help that she is so darn cute...

Saying Good Bye, Halloween and Isabel's dedication
Hold on for a marathon blog...
I can't believe it has been a week since our dear, dear friends have moved! Yes, Beth and TJ packed up their stuff, hit the road for Myrtle Beach and took with them Avery's best friend Karoline. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for them and excited to see what God will do in their lives through their new church, but they have left behind some sad people. I know their church plant will be successful and reach many people in an area that desperately needs it, but I can't help but selfishly wish God had kept them here for for a few more years. At least until I was ready to move... :)

Avery has asked for Karoline a couple times but remembers that she is flying in an airplane. Karoline left with her Gammy on Saturday to go to Texas to wait for Beth and TJ to pick her and Anderson up on the way. That way Beth had the gift of no children while she finished up the loose ends. The good thing about your friends moving to a vacation spot is that it is entirely possible we'll see them again. Ryan and I enjoy Myrtle Beach and now that we have friends there would definitely make an effort to vacation there. I'll have to plan it on one of the weekends that her mother Barbara is there though. Not only did Beth take her family away from me she took her mother. Barbara is a dear woman (if you remember she makes great smothered pork chops and mac n' cheese) and I always enjoyed her visits. In fact when Beth and TJ went to Myrtle Beach to check it out Barbara and I had a play date with the girls.

Tammie, Mercy, Me, Beth and Myca at Beth and TJ's going away party. These are the women that are in our bible study.
Every year our church as something called Trunk or Treat. People decorate their cars and the kids go car to car and trick or treat. This year Avery was actually old enough to participate and we even decorated our car. It was fun. Ryan carved some really neat pumpkins and he had 2 boxes in the backed labeled Candy but one really had wet noodles in it. It's an old trick but the kids thought it was funny. Avery had 2 costumes, a lion and Purdue cheerleader. I put the cheerleader costume on under the lion for a wardrobe change. She was cute in both. Little Isabel was the cutest baby chick. She is such a sweetie.
On Nov 2nd our church had baby dedications and Isabel was a part of it. The plan was to do it during the second service and I even had friends coming all the way from Vacaville to see it. Well, the morning started out nice. We got up earlier than normal so I wouldn't be late. Ryan had to usher the first service so he went before me and the girls and I would follow. I got some cute pictures and then went to grab my keys to get going. Guess what, I couldn't find them!!! It was horrible. I was running around the house, yelling at my keys and why they ran away from me, Avery is telling me not to worry that she would find them, I started calling Ryan and anyone I could reach to come get me. Long story short Ryan came to get us but by the time we got to church we had missed it. By that point I was a mess, I was crying and just wanted to go home. Well they reorganized things and they made room for us during the third service and my wonderful friends out here all stayed to see it. On the day before I was to loose one of my closest friends God showed me just how many wonderful friends I had. I knew this truth in my heart but it was so wonderful of Him to show me so clearly on such a special day.
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:9-14
The rest of the pictures are just some cute ones I took over the weekend. Ryan is gone for a week so we are just hanging out waiting for him to get home. I love my girls but can't wait for Ryan to get here and help out. I think they miss him too. Every time the dogs run to the door barking (anyone who knows my dogs knows this is often) she says, "Daddy's home mommy". I also decided to break her of the pacifier habit as I'm home for 6 days and that was rough the first few nights. She didn't cry, she just didn't want to stay in her bed. She was very polite about it and sweet but it was starting to wear on me. Tonight she only cried and got out of bed once so I think things are looking good!
