After Seattle I joined my parents and we went up to Whistler Canada. Jon was up there for a bike competition so it was a nice family reunion. The only bad part was that Ryan couldn't be there. I'm so lucky that Ryan is kind enough to let me go and enjoy time with my family. What a guy. Hopefully some day we can make it back to ski. We did a lot of stuff and we did a lot of relaxing. Unfortunately Avery had a bit of a virus while we were there but she is such a good girl she kept her cheerful personality and happy spirit. My parents took her for a bike ride while I did one of those zipline trips. We went over 5 zip lines over the canyons and river. It was really neat. After that I went hiking and saw some great views. It was also good to see Jon. If Avery hadn't kept him up a couple nights he may have thought she was absolutely perfect. Either way it was really cute to see him with her.

Ali's Wedding
We had such a nice time in Seattle. It was so wonderful to see Ali get married, especially to such a great guy like Tommy. Ali and Tommy are so organized that the only thing that wasn't perfect was the only thing they can't control, the weather. Unfortunately it was unusually rainy for the end of July so we were a bit wet but that didn't dampen the spirit or fun. I can only imagine how pretty the place must be in the sun because it was still gorgeous in the rain! Ali was a perfect bride and really seemed to enjoy the day and relax once she realized that the rain was going to be OK. She truly glowed that weekend and I'm excited for them to start their new life!
It was also very fun to see pregnant Sara! I didn't believe her but she really is showing more than I expected. As you can imagine she is still amazingly fit but has that joy of expectation about her. It is so exciting to me to realize we will both have little girls. I can't wait to share that with her.
Here are just a few pics. You can see how nice everything was.
The reception was great and Avery loved to dance. I tried to take her off the dance floor at 9:30 to go home but she literally ran back to dance. She was so cute and got sooooo many compliments on her temperament and cuteness. The photographer took so many pictures I can't wait to see them.
Grandma Marianne and PopPop visit
We had a great time with Marianne and Denny. It was nice that we were able to increase the fun by hanging out with Sara and Kyle as well! We finally made it to Alcatraz with Denny and I think he enjoyed it. Other than that it was a nice time of hanging out and relaxing. Unfortunately most of the good pictures were taken by Denny (his is a MUCH nicer camera) so hopefully I will get those soon.

Random Pictures
Just got a few cute ones of Avery last night and today. The first is her in our "soda" closet. She pulled the cokes out and climbed in. I used to like to hide in little places so no wonder she would find that. Guess I ought to get better at cleaning down there...
Today she came out of her room carrying a little purse with a dog in it that my mom got her. It makes her look so grown up. Then I got a video of her "talking" she is constantly "telling" me stuff that, unfortunately, only she understands. It's a bit long so maybe only grandparent viewing!

Muir Woods and Funny Avery
The Mommy's group I hang out with went to Muir Woods on Friday. We had a great time but it was quite an endeavor with all the kids and we probably looked a bit crazy at times! We had a 4 week old, 13 mo, 14 mo, 20 mo, 3.5 yo, 4.5 yo between 4 mothers. We used 1 double stroller, 2 regular strollers and 2 carriers. Combine that with the fact we had to park almost 1 mi away and we got our exercise in for the day! The kids seemed to enjoy it and a minor miracle occurred when we got the 5 older kids looking at the camera at the same time!
The last ones were taken last night. Avery was trying to get toys out of the bin and nearly fell in. Not sure if you can tell but her feet are off the ground. Ryan and I were laughing pretty hard!

In the crib and daddy reading
Here are some pictures from a couple weeks ago. Avery likes to climb into Bitty Baby's crib. It is really cute and I have a hard time taking her out of it. I'm laughing the whole time so no wonder she doesn't believe me. I just keep remembering that I won't be laughing when she breaks it or falls out of it.
I also caught Ryan reading to her. They seemed to be enjoying some quality time.
4th of July!!!
Happy Birthday America!!!
This 4th was so very hot so we started the day in the sprinkler. She liked it in small doses and would stand there and let it splash on her face for a while. Then she would run back to the sand table.
That evening we went to the Marin County Fair with Tom, Jamey, Kevin and Ronnie. It was fun but crowded. Unfortunately she wasn't big enough to ride anything besides the train but that was fun.
We kept her up really late but she is such a good girl she was fine and played with everyone while we waited for the fireworks to start. She was rolling around when the first boom started and it sure got her attention. From then on she was mesmerized and watched the whole show. She would go from lap to lap and sit and stare. It was neat to see the wonder of fireworks through the eyes of a child. Ryan did a good job of picture taking and you can see how pretty they were. It was hard to get a good one of Avery but you can see she liked to watch them.
