So crazy that it is another year. I know a lot of people on the news are saying they are very happy 2008 is gone but it certainly was a good year for us. Having little Isabel join our family was the best thing that could have happened. She is still such a happy baby. Even at the doctor today she was giving everyone smiles and screaming hello (By the way her weight is 14lb 2oz and her height is 25.5 in).
Besides the wonderful arrival of Isabel 2008 had other great adventures; Avery and I hiked around Big Sur while Ryan improved his skiing in Colorado (he now claims he is better than me), we all went to SeaWorld and had breakfast with Shamu and Ryan and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary! Not a bad year!
We've also had a good couple weeks. The Saturday after Christmas we went to Six Flags and enjoyed some of the rides. This is the nice thing about being in California, you don't have to worry the weather will be too cold to go outside.
Last Tuesday was Ryan's 32nd birthday!! We are now officially in our 30's and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. :) I actually don't really feel how I thought 30 felt when I was 15 so I guess that is a good thing. For Ryan's birthday we went to a Speakeasy with Tom and Jamey, had some pizza and saw the new James Bond movie.
I thank God (and Marianne since she also played a big part in it!)that 32 years ago he brought him into this world and then brought us together. He is a great guy who truly loves his family and works hard every day to provide the best for us in life. Who wouldn't love being married to that!
So, enough of the sentimental stuff, time for the pics for the grandparents!
Isn't Isabel so sweet!

These pictures were taken on Saturday at Wildcat Canyon. Avery and I love going here and come at least 2 times a week. I've mentioned before that at about halfway we stop and Avery gets out to walk around. Sometimes there are free-range cattle and we have also seen coyotes a few times. Well this time there were no animals around and she just started walking. As you can see she got pretty far away from me. She was having the greatest time and it was so neat to see. She was just walking and I could hear her singing some song about God. She did this for about a half an hour before she came back. She had no fear and was just enjoying the world around her!

Avery giving Ryan his birthday present. It was 6:15am so he was totally enjoying the wakeup. Only from his daughter would he be excited to be up then!

Avery and I at work!

This was the first ride Avery was able to go on by herself. It was pretty lame but exciting in its own way!

Notice the bald Eagle behind them. We went to this little bird show and it was pretty neat.

Six Flags had this really tiny hill to sled down. It looked much bigger in the photos but it's not much bigger than the hill by our house. Oh well, Avery had fun anyway!
