Fairyland

Last Thursday Avery, Isabel and I went to a place in Oakland called Fairyland. Basically it's a place that has little displays representing different fairytales. It is totally geared towards 2-5 year olds and a pretty cute place. We went with our friends Audra and Max. Max is about a year older than Avery and they get along great. It was a great day weather wise and we really enjoyed ourselves. I even got a bunch of smiles from Isabel!
It was my dream come true as well because they had a ton of figure cutouts! Avery is so cute and will pose in front of any cutout that I ask her too!

Avery was so upset she couldn't pet the donkey. They only let the kids pet them for about a half hour on Saturday. While we were there they came by to feed them. Avery was trying to take the food from the bin and help the girl. Little do they know she could probably hold her own with that donkey.

Isn't this a cute water fountain?

Watching the puppet show. It was sort of cheesy but they sat there for the whole 30 min.

The inside of this tunnel had some beautiful murals.

Not everyone will think these are cute but I love it!

Isabel

I noticed my last posting was mostly Avery pictures so I took some of Isabel last night. She is staying awake more through the day and her smiles and coos are getting cuter and cuter. She loves to talk to me!

Half Moon Bay

Sadly my maternity leave has come to an end. I returned to work on Tuesday and Isabel went with Avery to Lani's house. I wish I could stay home with my girls but it's not so bad when you like your job and have a boss who is so flexible. Isabel seemed to get along well with Lani. Of course Lani thought she was a wonderful baby, which I already knew!
The newest thing with Isabel is that she slept from 10pm-5am last night! Hopefully she keeps this up and it wasn't just an anomaly. She also had a doctor appointment where she had to get 4 shots! She did not like that one bit and has been a bit cranky since we got home. Poor thing!
Here are her stats though
weight 11lb 9oz 50% (I really thought it would be more than that. She's such a solid little thing)
height 23.5in 90% (not surprising, she's already fitting into 6month pants. 3month things are starting to look a bit short)

Last weekend we went to Half Moon Bay to get pumpkins. It was a wonderful day, perfect weather, just like Fall. The family had fun and Avery was totally spoiled. At Lemo Farms she fed goats (She never gets tired of that), rode a pony and got a cookie with purple icing.
We then went to another pumpkin patch and got our pumpkins and went through a corn maze. (I'd always wanted to do that) We only went the wrong way once and Avery had fun running through the corn. As usually Isabel enjoyed coming along for the ride. She was perfectly content all day.
After the pumpkins we went down to the beach. So beautiful! We went to the beach access by the Ritz Carlton (sure would like to spend a night there!) They had about 3 weddings going on that day. It was a beautiful view but quite cold and windy. I guess you can't have it all.

Even with the sun blurring the image I thought this was a good picture.

The goats had gotten fed by so many kids they were stuffed! They would barely eat!

Ryan and Avery played in this little crane thing. I think it was more for Ryan than Avery...

8 years!!!

Today is Ryan and my anniversary! I can't believe that it has been 8 years married and 12 years as a couple. I am very lucky to have found Ryan and he has enriched my life in many ways!
I can't wait to see what the next 8 years has to offer!

Movies

Lots of pictures

Karoline loves to hold Isabel when we go over to her house.

This is Avery walking her lizard down the hallway. She loves to walk her animals.

My little smiler...

Looks like her Daddy with his computer...

Avery and Karoline love reading together.

I've been slacking in my picture posting. I have lots that I'm sure the grandparents would love to see. We had a busy couple of weeks and weekend. Over the weekend I went away with the girls to Tahoe to scrapbook. Scrapbooking is not my favorite thing but being in the mountains with good friends, a glass of wine and being able to sleep in are! I even got 4 layouts done. Isabel went with me but Avery stayed behind with Ryan. They had a great time but I think they wore each other out! He took her to Six Flags on Saturday and they did a lot of stuff. Unfortunately neither of us took a camera!
This is my last full week home. I go back to work next Tuesday. I really enjoy my job but since I enjoy my children more it would be wonderful to stay home. I just concentrate on the fact that I am very blessed that I only have to work 3 days/week and that I have a very flexible boss!

A week ago Sunday Ryan and I took the girls to the Oakland Zoo. It was a fun family day and of course Avery loved the animals! Ryan and her also went on a roller coaster. Ryan had to hold on tight to her and we don't think it was her favorite thing. She did love the Merry Go Round though!
